Our Mission
Our Goals
The Community Success Institute is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to improve educational outcomes for students living in at-risk and underserved communities in the United States. The Institute’s focus is on research, publishing, and advocacy to advance the creation of communities of trust in education.
Communities of trust in education are networks of relationships and the legal, technical, and human agreements that facilitate the exchange of information about students among parents, families, schools, and related service providers. Communities of trust allow student data to be shared among participants in a safe, secure, transparent, and auditable manner.
The Community Success Institute believes that building communities of trust is necessary in order to improve educational outcomes for all students and especially for those in at-risk and underserved communities.
We develop the expertise, tools, and processes necessary to empower communities to build their own trust frameworks. Research and design projects and their outcomes are documented and published by the Community Success Institute in an effort to promote an understanding of communities of trust in education and to advocate for their development.

Process Toolkits
We are building process toolkits to capture repeatable processes so that communities can learn from documented cases with real-world applications. These toolkits will empower communities to more effectively implement their own communities of trust, and include stress-tested processes, protocols, practices to ensure they increase equity and access.
